Brecon with Bells On is back for 2024
Get ready to kick off the festive season in style at Brecon with Bells On
Brecon’s ultimate Christmas Extravaganza, returning to the streets of Brecon on Saturday, 23rd November, from 12 Noon.
The holiday cheer starts with a parade just before noon leading into a day packed with entertainment.
Enjoy music on stage at the Bulwark, live tunes in Bethel Square, and Christmas buskers filling the streets with festive sounds.
The grand finale?
At 6pm, the Rich Brothers will light up Brecon with the official Christmas Lights switch-on.
Stay for an hour of live music from local favourite band, Crazy Alien, to keep the celebrations going.
Christmas Markets & Festive Treats
Explore two festive marquees outside the Guildhall and St. Mary’s Church, plus bustling street stalls offering seasonal goodies and delicious refreshments.
St. Mary’s Church will host a Christmas Fayre, and the Market Hall will be filled with even more festive stalls, so there’s something for everyone.
Santa’s Grotto & Family Fun
Don’t miss Santa’s Grotto at the Guildhall—a magical experience, free for all.
Y Gaer will host arts and crafts, plus you’ll spot delightful appearances from characters like Hodman and Sally, towering stilt walkers, and even a giant Santa puppet, creating an exciting and fun Christmas wonderland.
Best Dressed Window Competition
Shop windows across Brecon will come to life with this year’s theme: Past, Present, and Future.
We can’t wait to see the creativity and sparkle of Brecon’s businesses on display.
Judging happens after 12 Noon on Wednesday, 20th November. If you’re entering the competition, please note the closing date and let us know you’re participating!
Free Festive Parking
To make holiday shopping and celebrating easier, Brecon Town Council is offering FREE PARKING in the long-stay car park near the bus station on Saturdays, from now until March 2025.
This is an event that brings the whole community together, showcasing Brecon at it’s festive best, sparkling under the Christmas lights.
