Kick off the festive season in style at the Old Railway Line Garden Centre on Thursday, November 28th. The event starts at 4:30 PM, with the parade arriving at 6:30 PM. Before the big moment, enjoy a festive disco and groove to holiday tunes.
Meet Santa and snap a family photo, say hello to Molly and Holly the donkeys, and meet your kids’ favourite characters. Don’t forget to visit their restaurant for delicious treats while you wait. It’s an evening packed with fun, laughter, and holiday spirit—perfect for the whole family.

Hay on Wye takes centre stage with their @hayfestival #winteredition
Friday evening will see the lights switch on by Luke Evans and the weekend will be filled with celebrations of all things books.

Away from the festival, Hay Markets has a full schedule of events in Memorial Square and surrounding buildings
On both Saturday and Sunday the square and halls will be transformed into a vibrant weekend market of independent creatives, makers, producers, street food and vintage sellers, the perfect place to begin your Christmas shopping.

Llandovery are making a day of it on Friday 29th November with live music including local school choirs singing all the festive favourites along with a programme of events leading up to their lights switch on
The Llandovery Farmers Market, and additional traders, will be on hand all day Friday until the lights switch on and local shops will all be open late. Keep up to date on proceedings by visiting their social media.

Cantref Adventure Farm opens it’s magical doors this weekend.
Experience the magic of Christmas at Cantref Adventure Farm, where the whole family can enjoy a winter wonderland. This might be the only weekend you get a chance to see Santa in an underground grotto, the ever popular Dan Yr Ogof Caves have Santa working exceptionally hard up until Christmas and this weekend is the only time he has spare elves to help out.
His schedule is jam packed until Christmas. It’s this weekend or you may have to wait until next year, and that’s another year you have to be good.

This festive event at Theatr Brycheiniog in Brecon, hosted by Artisan Events Wales, offers a fantastic mix of local craft and food stalls spread across all floors.
From leather goods and silver jewellery to wooden items and food producers, there’s something for everyone.
The venue is fully accessible, with lifts and stairs to all levels.
The café and bar will be open all day, so you can enjoy a relaxing festive experience without having to leave the building.
